didn't you have some nifty macros for stuffing crap
in boxes for xgp output? if so, can you point me to them?
please?
jra
The only way I can do boxes is with the GRFX25 and GRFX35 fonts.
I generally write new PUB macros every time I need them. This isn't
too bad for things that are in NOFILL mode, just use tab stops for the
lieft and right sides of the box and use PREFACE 0 MILLS. It is
considerably harder for paragraphs (i.e., FILL mode) and I have never
gotten anything to work the way I wanted it to. In deciding which
of the two GRFX fonts to use, note that vertical lines connect
together only if the "baseline to logical top" for the font(s) inside
the box is less than or equal to that of the GRFX font (20 for GRFX25
and 23 for GRFX35). This means, for example, that the baskerville
fonts (hieght is 22) fit inside GRFX35 but not GRFX25.
There is more information on GRFX.XGP[UP,DOC].
